Beer Review: The Drowned Lands Soil & Citra

Beer: Soil & Citra

Style: Double IPA

ABV: 8.5% N/A IBU’s

One might think the higher the ABV the harder it will be to drink an IPA however since I've been enjoying craft beers, it's always amazed me how much easier double IPAs are to drink. This DIPA from the drowned lands is super hazy with a great color and a citrus aroma, a super smooth taste with a bit of sweetness to it.

The drowned lands slogan on the can says "slow down, stay-a-while" and that's exactly what I'll be doing. Taking my time and sipping this beer, enjoying the tropical flavors and smooth mouth feel. I’m not too familiar with breweries based in New York but can't wait to see what else they have in store. This is definitely a great beer overall, I’m giving this an untapped rating of 4 out of 5! Keep on sipping.
